Infini Microneedle Fractional Radio Frequency is for anyone who starts to feel that their facial or neck skin is loose or anyone who has depressed scars, such as those caused by acne.
Infini Micro-Needling with fractional radio frequency works by heating up the dermis layer of the skin without disturbing the epidermis. When the dermis is damaged the skin is forced to start a repair process. The repair process will increase the collagen and elastin content of the dermis. This will result in tightening and thickening of the skin giving a much more youthful appearance.
There are many treatments that do something similar but Infini Micro-Needling is better because it can deliver the radio frequency energy into the dermis more accurately and in larger quantity so as to maximise the skin repair process.
As the epidermis or superficial layer of the skin is not affected, the patient can get back to work much more quickly than with other comparable treatments.
I like treating my patients with Infini Micro-Needling because of the very noticeable result in skin tightening and reduction in scar appearance. No treatment is perfect but with Infini the failure rate is very low. Combine this with the short down time, very low rate of complications and comparatively low price, I have the utmost confidence in recommending this treatment to my patients.
The skin will need to be cleaned and anaesthetised first with local anaesthetic creams. After 30 to 60 minutes the local anaesthetic cream will be wiped off and the treatment begun. The treatment involves applying the treatment head to the skin and delivering the required energy into the dermis. This process takes only about 15 to 20 minutes.
The Infini treatment is not comfortable and therefore it is necessary to apply to local anaesthetic cream first. Most patients do not mind the discomfort as it only lasts for a very short time. For patients who have lower pain threshold, the discomfort can be reduced by lowering the amount of energy delivered.
After micro needling. the skin feels hot and will look flushed or red. Occasionally small bruises and mild swelling can be seen.
If the areas surrounding the eyes are treated (like the upper and lower eye lid) bruising and swelling may be seen over the next few days. Makeup can be applied but depending on the amount of swelling and bruising patient may want to take a few days off work. If these areas are not treated the redness on the skin can be easily covered with makeup if necessary.
Results can start to be seen after only two weeks, however the skin will continue to repair itself over the coming few months. Therefore patients can expect even better results a few months later.

Infini is not suitable for anyone who has life threatening disease such as severe heart condition, have pace maker, on isotretinoin and on warfarin or other blood thinning medications.
It is best to plan for two days off work (such as the weekend) just in case there is much swelling or bruising after the treatment. Do not come to the clinic wearing make up or mascara. It is best if you do not use contact lens on the day.

Within two weeks of micro-needling treatment the skin starts to be noticeably tighter. This is just the beginning of the effect. Better results can be seen after several months. Infini is a standalone treatment. However patients with loose skins have usually also lost some facial volume. Therefore dermal filler injections to increase facial volume are usually combined with the Infini treatment.
