The procedure starts with Tumescent Liposuction surgery. Your surgeon begins by making a small incisions in the area from which the fat is to be taken before inserting a small thin tube which is attached to a device. After the fat has been removed and filtered, the surgeon will transfer it to your breasts using a syringe to give the precise look and shape you want. The fat cells are carefully placed under the skin in small tunnels, not in the breast tissue, so that the fat cells will take and grow and increase the volume of the breast.
The breast augmentation takes approximately three hours and is done under local anesthetic, resulting in a quicker recovery downtime for the patient. You will see results straight away, however results will improve when the swellings have subsided and the implanted fat becomes a part of your breasts during the months after treatment.
This procedure is best suited to those who do not want breast implants, those who require increased fullness in the upper pole of the breast, and after ‘conservative’ breast cancer surgery.
