Mole Removal Surgery Cardiff

People have different reasons for mole removal. For many, it’s because they look unsightly or catch on clothes or a razor. For a smaller number of people, it is because the mole has become malignant or cancerous.
Here at the Cellite Clinic we are experts in dermatological procedures such as mole removal, wart removal and skin tag removal. We offer three methods of mole removal. Mole excision involves surgical removal of the mole while shave excision is used to treat raised moles by removing a layer of skin cells. We also offer the latest state-of-the-art laser technology to clear small moles and leave skin clear and smooth.

The mole removal method will be decided by our experienced dermatologist in your consultation, and will be based on the type of lesion, the location and if a skin biopsy is necessary.

Does mole removal hurt?

The surgical procedures are performed under local anaesthetic to ensure the procedure is painless.

How will I look immediately after?

The treated area will usually be slightly sore or red for about two weeks after treatment, and may require a dressing. The treated skin will also be sensitive so we advise that you use a high SPF sunscreen for six months after the procedure.

Will I have a scar?

Most mole removal procedures leave nothing more than a white scar, the size of which is usually determined by the size of what needs to be removed.

How much does mole removal surgery cost?

From £300 per session.
